We've now conceded four goals on four occasions.........at home. A sound spanking at home to alleged wife beating Darren Ferguson's Peterborough. We can claim that the match hinged on a dodgy penalty, but in reality poor defending had far more to do with it.

Saturday is now a massive game at home to the fake Scots from Carlisle. Three points is essential, as can't see us picking up much at Millwall the following weekend.

After an interminable afternoon watching the webcast from the council chambers, the vote went 10-0 in favour of the revised stadium design.

A big 'hats off' to Martin Perry and the team, in the face of delaying tactics and filibustering from a variety of NIMBYs who would have tried the patience of a saint, and whose aims of destroying the club have been thwarted.

You sign a few decent players, and for the first chance to see them at Fortress Withdean they're away on international duty................Bah.

Chris Birchall (Trinidad) and Craig Davies (Wales) are in the squads for their countries and so will miss the match against promotion hopefuls Peterborough, and their allegedly delightful wife beating manager Darren Ferguson.

You wait ages for the Albion to flash the cash, and then a load happen at once. Craig Davies and Jimmy McNulty add power up front and a much needed solution to the left back problem.

It's a total BUMMER that the Peterborough match tomorrow is highly unlikely to take place, but I suspect we will have a very sizeable following at Hereford on Saturday to see the Albion play their first league match at Edgar Street since a meaningless end of season encounter in 1997........

A big HATS OFF to DK, Micky and the board for making it exciting to watch the Albion again. Hope, as always, springs eternal.

Transfer window a qualified success?

After all the doom and gloom of the past few weeks, has a corner been turned? A great comeback at Cheltenham, (although they should have been out of sight by then), a back to the wall draw at runaway leaders Leicester, and a turnaround against Hartlepool, and we beat them for the first time out of four this season.

Micky seems to have addressed some, but not all, of the glaring deficiencies in the side. The supply line to the strikers looks better with the return of the gifted by frustrating Seb Carole. Perhaps he can inspire Dean Cox and Kevin McLeod to put in some decent crosses too. Jarrett looks very impressive in an area where we have been weak since the retirement of Chippy and Dean Hammond's unpleasant exit. Birchall looks a very tidy player, if not necessarily a natural crowd pleaser. The two new strikers are excellent news, as although for most fans Forster and Murray are the ideal combination, injuries this season have restricted their appearances together.

If we can find a left back before the window closes tomorrow (Livermore does not look comfortable there), then we should have enough firepower to move up the table.
